Stand Up Placer is a private, non-profit 501(C)(3) agency. The success of our Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking programs and our ability to help those in need depends greatly upon donations from community supporters like you.

Stand strong and volunteer
Volunteering for our agency gives you the opportunity to make a difference, meet new people, use skills you have developed over your lifetime, learn new skills, and feel good by helping others.
Direct service opportunities
Direct service volunteer opportunities require completion of a 72-hour state mandated Crisis Intervention Peer Counselor Training. These opportunities allow you to work with our clients and provide services to them. Examples of direct service opportunities include:
- Crisis Line Counselor
- Life Skills Instructor
- Court Advocate
- Group Facilitator
- Child Play Specialist
- Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Advocate
Indirect service opportunities
Indirect service volunteer opportunities do not require completion of the 72-hour training. These opportunities allow you to work behind the scenes and help support staff and clients. Examples of indirect service opportunities include:
- Creating Safe House Welcome Baskets
- Maintenance and Repair Support
- Outreach Tabling Support
- Event Associate
- Fundraising Associate
- Clothes Closet Organizing
- Donation Processing
